From frustration to a format that works

Our story

For years, we ran traditional leadership programs...

Multi-day seminars, extensive off-sites, beautifully designed workbooks. Leaders left inspired. And within weeks, most had reverted to their old patterns.

 

The problem wasn't the content. It wasn't the participants. It was the format. Leadership doesn't change in a conference room. It changes in the daily moments where a leader has to act — give tough feedback, let go of control, make a decision without all the data, or stay calm when a project is falling apart.

    Most leaders don't fail because they lack knowledge.
They fail in moments of truth — critical instances where they must act outside their comfort zone.

So we redesigned everything. We stripped away the classroom excess and built a format that puts leaders directly into their growth zone — in their actual work, with their actual teams, on their actual challenges. We gave them one concrete hack to execute over 8 weeks, surrounded them with peer support and coaching, and measured the results.

The impact was immediate and measurable. Leaders changed their behavior, teams noticed, and organizations saw the difference in engagement scores, decision quality, and retention. The Leadership Sprint was born.

ICG's extensive work with organizations across industries revealed a recurring gap: leaders understood what good leadership looked like, but struggled to translate that understanding into consistent daily behavior. Traditional programs weren't bridging that gap.

The Leadership Sprint was created as a dedicated format to solve exactly this problem — combining ICG's deep consulting expertise with a structured, execution-focused methodology designed for measurable behavior change.
